"Bippity, Boppity, Boo!" ~ Pumpkins Still Make for Magical Days!

Saturday we took a trip to Briley's Pumpkin Patch with our church's junior age children, we had about eighteen go, eleven children and seven parents, and we had such a magical time! Cadence had been looking forward to this trip all week, I had mentioned mistakenly mentioned it on Wednesday and that was all it took! From that point on I was asked at least four times every day if we were going to the pumpkin patch?! When will I learn to keep my mouth shut?! But yesterday finally came and as I was getting her ready she looked at me with those big blue green eyes and I asked the question I had been waiting for all morning, 'We go to the pumpkin patch?" I looked back at her and told her yes!!! We are going TODAY!!! So we finished getting ready and loaded up on the church bus to head to Briley's!
Cadence was so excited! Judah was less excited, but not less cute! It took us about 20 minutes and we were there, ready to enjoy and explore this neat pumpkin patch.  Now this pumpkin patch is not like most that I'm use to, when i was young (I know I'm only 25, but things have SERIOUSLY changed since I was a young whipper-snapper) a pumpkin patch was just that - a pumpkin patch where you just picked out a pumpkin and you went home.  But this "pumpkin patch" had a pony to ride, multiple animals to see, a bouncy house (seriously), face painting, a hay ride, a corn maze, slides, and im sure im forgetting something! So we spent about 3 hours there, doing all these impressive things! ;)
First, we saw how tall Cadence was this year at Briley's - She was 3 ft! ;)
She then walked through the barn that had all the animals, and she rode a pony! Sorry the pumpkin picture is premature in this spot, but it was such a cute collage, hated to break it up. THEN, we did the main event, what this place was named for, the PUMPKIN PATCH! ;)
She was so cute to watch walking through the pumpkin patch and looking for the perfect pumpkin.  Not too small, not too large, but just right! (Im full of fairytale references today!) We (and by that I mean Josh) found the perfect one for Cadence, it was just right in size, it was a beautiful orange color, and it was smooth with no imperfections (reference above picture). So we picked it up, I got out a diaper wipe and Josh wiped it off (nothing wrong with keeping it clean as possible), and we rode the hayride back to our lunch spot, but not before we snapped a picture with her favorite boy friend (see how I seperated those two words, just thought i should point that out) Daniel Baker, she really loves him, they are great friends!  We ate our packed lunches and then went to get Cadence's face painted and enjoy the bouncy house, and cow ride! She had such a big time and many of the older junior girls really took her under their wing and made her a part of the activity.
It was a beautiful day and they all seemed to have a grand time!  And then, just to show that we adults are still children at heart, got one of our husbands to snap some pictures of us!
Love these ladies, they are some of my dearest friends, so glad I got to spend the day with them and their children! ;)  So if you are needing to take your children to a pumpkin patch this year, or if you need, oh I dont know, a plain yellow pumpkin to become a golden carriage (you saw it coming), I would highly recommend visiting Briley's! They have so many activities, we could've stayed busy for a couple more hours!
